AJ Dumanhug is a cybersecurity professional with over eight years of practical experience, mainly in offensive security, application security, and penetration testing.

Over the years, he’s taken on a variety of roles in the field. He’s taught web application security at institutions like the University of the Philippines SITF, Adamson University CPDD, and De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde SPaCE. He’s also worked closely with government agencies, including the Philippine Army and the National Privacy Commission.

Outside of work, AJ is part of Hackstreetboys, a professional cybersecurity group known for competing in both local and international Capture The Flag events. One of their standout achievements was placing third at the DEFCON CTF under the Red Team Village. These days, the group also helps organize and run CTF competitions in the Philippines, mainly through the ROOTCON Hacking Conference.
